About

Hi.  Thanks for wondering about me.

I’m a problem solver.

That’s the core of what I do, and the heart of user experience design itself; identifying the problem, coming up with solutions, and then figuring out how to make those solutions so intuitive and easy to use that the user flows through them without a hitch.  The best solution not only solves the problem but delights the user with its resolution, perhaps even leading them to use the product more than they had planned.

Solving the problem means you need to identify and understand it first.  That’s where my requirements gathering skills come in.  Once you understand it, you can begin to craft solutions that makes sense.  That’s where my user experience, information architecture, and interface design skills come in.  Solutions created in a vacuum aren’t likely to be the best, however, so they need to be brought to end users and fully tested.  And that’s where my usability testing skills come in.  It all rolls up to creating the best solution to the problem, which makes the best product.
